Friday TED Talk: Temple Grandin on the Autistic Mind

Temple Grandin, diagnosed with autism in her childhood, is now a Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, and renowned for her humane redesigns of livestock handling facilities. In the talk below, given with her trademark vigor at this year's TED conference, she explains what is different about the autistic mind, how it sees the world in pictures, and how (at least in its less severe forms) its special traits can provide a unique advantage in certain fields:
