Their spirit of rebellion is consistent with their reaction to Nazi German domination. What a pity that they could not find their way to see the Truth contained in the Bible. A few good readings of the Good Book, and the likes of Ecclesiastes would have allowed Camus to dispense with the whole Existentialist fad altogether and get on with real living.
