As they press on with their agendas, people keep leaving TEC. Same may say why, others just quietly leave. Others, who may have thought of joining, will not. These one may never know as they never came in the first place. What GC and 815 do does have an effect at the local level.

David KatzakianUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07218931330153862059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-759178030677978044.post-27455622483916292842012-12-11T06:08:18.318-08:002012-12-11T06:08:18.318-08:00Why - simple - the See of 815 is vacant. They have departed from Scripture and from Science/Statistics, Reason/Reality, from the Law of God and from the Law of their own Church.

The Law of the US has violated the Law of GOD, enabling US citizens to break all of God's commandments and under Obama, laws have been forged that would force us to do so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-759178030677978044.post-64657065081394000682012-12-10T11:14:27.785-08:002012-12-10T11:14:27.785-08:00I have also struggled as the person who prompted y...I have also struggled as the person who prompted your post. You posted,"Take away my parish -- inhibit my orthodox rector...", I wouldn't be able to live with myself if that happened to my rector. He saved my life, walked with me when days were full of darkness, held my hand before cancer surgery. I've seen God through him. Oh my soul would be torn a apart. I feel like someone has stolen something from me.I bought The Everlasting Man because of your post, hoping I can have the same peace that you have gained from reading Chesterton. I think of Bonhoffer, how did he do it? How can I keep going?Whithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14027108630709474908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-759178030677978044.post-18531307575479708722012-12-10T09:21:12.164-08:002012-12-10T09:21:12.164-08:00And the best way to deal with that problem, Pewste...And the best way to deal with that problem, Pewster, is for an orthodox parish to grow its own successor priest from its midst, if it can. That way, the Bishop can scarcely insist on foisting some outsider on the parish, when it has raised a good and godly priest from among its numbers.

But if that is not possible, then let things go to a stalemate: refuse to offer a position to the Bishop's candidate, and insist that he approve yours. When the Bishop refuses to budge, bring in either your candidate or some other orthodox priest as an interim priest, and tell the Bishop you are still searching. At that time, not only should there be a good match between the local parish and the new priest, but the Bishop will want a good match with his or her views on all those distant rumblings.
