Don't forget that Judge Bellows was just following the statute he thought governed the case the first time out, and it didn't involve anything other than ascertaining which "branch" the majority of each parish had voted to join.<br /><br />But your question could apply to his second decision in the case (I mean the one now being appealed). And to turn to Harvard again, one could ask: Would Judge Bellows give all of Harvard's property and endowment funds to some abstraction called "The Ivy League", just because Harvard has been a member of it for 300+ years?A.
