Is This a Prophet? His Message Deserves to Be Heard

In putting up this post, I realize I am asking a lot of my regular readers. Nevertheless, the message below is so important that I am moved not to censor the messenger -- I believe truly, after listening to it, that his message comes from God.

Jonathan Cahn is a controversial figure today among evangelicals and traditional Christians alike. Born and raised as a Jew, he discovered Christ the Messiah and dedicated his life to Him. Currently he is the pastor at the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel in Wayne, New Jersey, and there are countless sermons of his available for watching on YouTube. He has authored two controversial books, which are of the essence of prophecy: if they are correct in what they say about America, then America should soon know it. And if they are invented, time will provide the unfailing test.

By reproducing this particular address by Rabbi Cahn, I do not thereby take a position in the current controversy over what he has written in his two books. It is enough for me that in it, he delivers a monumental warning to America about the path on which she now finds herself, and which is detailed in many posts on this blog.

That warning is the prophetic truth that lies in Rabbi Cahn's message, as delivered below. Listen carefully -- he speaks to all Americans, though he uses the occasion of addressing our nation's legislators in their original chambers in the basement of Capitol Hill, on April 29 of this year  -- and then I say, let him who has ears to hear, hear:

  1. I posted this same oration on my Facebook page when it transpired. Wise words, without a doubt! Thank you for posting this.

  2. I join Milton Finch in thanking you for posting this address, Mr. Haley. It has taken us a bit over two centuries to arrive at the present brink of throwing away what our forebears established, and the pace of change in that horrible direction seems to me to be accelerating. I pray to Our Lord that the message in Rabbi Cahn's address will not be lost on our fellow citizens and that our fellows will awaken to the truth in time.

  4. It is also very interesting to view Jonathan Cahn’s sermon on the mystery of the Ninth of Av. This is the Jewish date of calamity, on which many events happened throughout their history, such as the destruction of both the first and second temples, the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, and many more.

The sermon can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOuNAHzOLrY

I recall clearly a Messianic Rabbi telling me that the confirmation of the election of Gene Robinson as bishop of New Hampshire, at the General Convention in 2003, took place on the Ninth of Av, which would have been 6-7 August that year.

  5. I met Jonathan Cahn quite accidentally - in front of the US Supreme Court (building, temple, monument?) late afternoon April 28, 2015, the day of oral arguments in the so-called “same-sex marriage” cases. I was impressed by his humility. He joined in praying with the Christians gathered there and said that the next day he would be over on Capitol Hill “talking to some members of Congress”. That sounded to me like informal office visiting, not what we now know was a formal presentation in a historic setting honoring the faith of George Washington.

  6. We have been out with clients at our little mud-hut hideaway in Mexico for several days, and therefore not in any good position to remain current with The Anglican Curmudgeon. It is lamented that this Youtube clip is "controversial" in some quarters. I would say that it is more controversial that the Bishop of Rome chooses to worry about global climate change than the souls of his flock. To some of us, it might be considered controversial that the female bishops of the Church of England have solved the problems afflicting Christianity by allowing for the inclusion of the words "she, her, and mother" as reasonable replacements for "He, Him, and Father", etc.
Perhaps with a little editting we can soon have the Archangel Gabriella announcing to the double-reverse, transgendered male lesbian that she/he/it will conceive and bring forth a daughter who believes in nothing and everything, especially in the Great Beatitude, "If it feels good, do it!"
The idea of flooding the pulpits of Anglicism in particular and Christianity / Judaism in general with preachers who frame their sermons around vignettes of "slice of life" episodes and/or practical methods of avoiding the offending of one group or another is turned on it head by this man.
Every nation that has assailed against the Jew has fallen. Every nation that has turned its back upon the New Covenant has rotted out from the inside. Many of those nations still exist in name only, but they are essentially warehouses of zombies dashing after causes of great import, such as "taking down" the Confederate banner of engagement.
    or "maternal leave for daddies".
The above commentaries by the earlier posters are all endorsed and we shall be placing the good Rabbi's brief sermon on our blog later to-day.

    1. Welcome back, El Gringo Viejo! Your colorful entries attest to a quick wit and sound kind. One never quite knows where one will end up when reading your entries, but when one arrives, it is usually with an "Aha" moment or a sudden realization of the gravity of the situation.

  7. A powerful testimony! Are prophets ever heeded? " But Jesus said to them, ‘Prophets are not without honour except in their own country and in their own house.’ " So the dream of the New Jerusalem degenerates into the reality of Babylon: but from the beginning we know that all do not and perhaps cannot hear the shepherd's voice.
