A New Look for the Blog

Blogger has come out with a whole new series of templates, and it is time to try one of them. This one uses a backdrop of the Pont Alexandre III in Paris (suitably Dickensian for a Curmudgeon), captured at twilight. In the coming days, I will try out some different backdrops.

Let me know in the comments what you think -- readability, layout, design, etc. The world's our oyster.

  1. Mr. Haley,

I much prefer the font size changes and clearer layout. The picture is just fine. That last probably constitutes high praise from me—no one would ever mistake me for a Francophile.

  2. I am viewing it right now on a Windows Vista machine, and I do not see any image at all, just a colored panel at the top with the blog title and then the white block down the left side with the text in it.

I like the new font size very much; easier for elderly eyes.

  3. THANK YOU! Many times I have tried to print the page, but it was very hard to rid the page of the yellow back-ground. It is hard for me to sit and read in this chair, but it is much easier for me to print and then read on my own time. (In my easy chair)

If one has a color printer, it was always more expensive to print the yellow background along with everything else. Thank you!

  4. Rightly readable, legitimately legible, broadly believable, superlatively screen-fittable.

    (I like it)
